New Partnership Aims to Expand Virtual, In-Person Care Access in CA
Per the new partnership, providers using Hims & Hers' telehealth platform will be able to refer patients in California to Carbon Health for conditions outside Hims & Hers' treatment offerings.

- Carbon Health, a primary, mental health, and urgent care provider, is partnering with Hims & Hers Health to expand access to a range of virtual and in-person care services.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Carbon Health provides in-person care across more than 70 locations and telehealth services. Its operations are supported by a proprietary technology platform, including the Carbon Health application, enabling secure clinical communications and access to medical records.
Hims & Hers Health is a multispecialty telehealth platform offering virtual care for various conditions, including sexual health, dermatology, primary care, and mental health.
Per the new partnership, healthcare professionals on the Hims & Hers platform will be able to direct patients to Carbon Health if they need additional primary care follow-up or evaluation due to complex medical histories, symptoms, or risk factors for conditions that Hims & Hers does not currently treat.

"By expanding both digital and in-person care options, we're continuing to build a platform that can be a one-stop shop for a new generation of consumers that are yearning for a healthcare delivery system that is modern, simple-to-use, and enables access to high-quality care at the touch of a button."
The partnership enables Hims & Hers to expand its operations to seven states and the District of Columbia. The company already has relationships with Oschner Health in Louisiana, Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, and Privia Health in the District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, Texas, and Virginia.
Its latest partnership with Carbon Health aims to provide patients in California with a more seamless continuum of care.

"Partnering with Hims & Hers will enable patients in California to receive more integrated and continuous care across a greater spectrum of health conditions and further our mission to bring high-quality healthcare to even more people."
As telehealth use remains popular — with 85 percent of physicians saying they still used it at the end of 2021 — providers and payers are increasingly offering virtual primary and specialty care.
Earlier this year, Chicago-based First Stop Health, a virtual care provider, established a nationwide virtual primary care service, and Evernorth, the health services business of Cigna, expanded health plan member access to alcohol use disorder treatment services delivered through Monument's virtual platform.
